FILTERS
THE LENS WE VIEW LIFE THROUGH
We are going to examine the different lenses we choose to view life through: the prejudices and predispositions that shape the way we view the world around us. After all, that’s what a filter does: it doesn’t change what’s in front of you. Instead it alters what you see from your perspective.
From the deception in the garden to the moment shame and separation entered the human story, we’ll see how sin broke our connection with God and reshaped who we are. We’ll see why the struggle we all feel is universal—and why God’s plan to redeem us was necessary from the start. This series explores the true origin story of humanity’s brokenness.

SIN

THE POTTER
We have been looking to the biblical illustration of a potter and his work with clay to discover spiritual truths that applicable to our lives. From the selection of different clays to fit the creator's purpose, to the process of forming and purging, it's a message that is still applicable today.
A counterfeit is something deceptive that is passed off and perceived as authentic. Usually, its in an attempt to inflate or mimic value. In a spiritual sense, we are going to look at counterfeits we come across in life that promise but never produce real and meaningful value. They offer but never provide long and lasting happiness.

COUNTERFEITS
Jesus used powerful parables, everyday illustrations, to communicate this Kingdom truth. In this way he veiled his words from the doubters while revealing deep truths to his disciples. In this series we are going to look at a few of those parables and unpack the principles they proclaim.

KINGDOM PARABLES
LIFE THROUGH A GOSPEL LENS
No one likes walking through a wilderness. In scripture, its a desert place, a dry place, a place that lacks provision. Moses and Israel spent years wandering through a wilderness, and from that experience we can glean some powerful perspective about what God works in us as we walk through a wilderness.

INTO THE WILDERNESS

WORST WEEK EVER
We are taking a deep dive into the passion week, looking at each of the days and events from Palm Sunday all the way to the resurrection, 1 day per week. Hopefully, we will gain a glimpse into what motivated the Messiah to carry a cross all Calvary where he would lay down his life for his friends, the greatest display of love this world had ever seen.

RECALCULATING
Most of us use a GPS in our everyday life. They provide directives and instructions to help guide us as we navigate the route to our intended destination. In this series, we will look at some of those directives and instructions drawing comparisons from commands in scripture, which serve as instructions intended to help us reach our desired destination.
